Jees, it's been a while altho there was enough to write about. Dont really know why I didnt update but what the the heck :).
There are only 2 days left till I am leaving to Thailand. Booked a ticket yest. pretty solid ripoff but wanna go anyway, have to make a lot of preparations before I am ready to go. No clue whats gonna happen when I land saturdaymorning. I think I ll book a hotel for the first couple of days work from there, really looking forward!!!
Started to say goodbye to everybody, one of those things was a unusual dinner what turned out to be a very cool experience. I had no idea what we were about to do when Dennis passed me a fake identity and badge, he told me about a United Nations congress for cities against poverty. Wubbe Okkels, a dutch princess and some former first ministers were on the list of speakers. The congress included dinners aswell, and I was about to bluf my way in. We went to Schouwburgplein and walked among some african ladies towards the bus. I was pretty happy when I managed to get in without any problems. After a short drive with police escort we arrived in the old factory. Was a good night spoke to a lot of people including a 2nd minster of Congo.
After people finshed there (very yummy) dinner the dancefloor was hit pretty hard. Was nice to see such a mixed group of people dance and have fun together. I secretly laughed at some of the ridic moves I saw.
Before I started this blogpost I wanted to include a trip report from last weekend, when I was in Namur (Belgium) with a some other pokerplayers. Was sick fun, but I cant be bothered to write that trip report lol. I ll copy/paste some of the clifnotes that had been written down. I am not sure how funny it is for non pokerplayers I ll just dumpt it inhere + I apoligise for the language. Second one are my own cliffnotes :).
- Walen kunnen totaal niet pokeren. - Ze kunnen wel heel goed koken en bier brouwen. - De 2/2 tafels hebben de meest bizarre rake structuur ever. - Poker is voor life nits, echte gamblers spelen roulette. - Er gebeurde iets raars met een vaas. - Iemand shipte iets. - PU'ers veranderen spontaan in vissen als er meer dan drie bij elkaar aan tafel zitten. - Twee mensen leek het een goed idee om om half vijf 's ochtends nog naar Nederland terug te rijden.
Kortom, het was één groot feest!

But I resist. My life is very cold tho, I keep whining about it and people keep telling me that it aint that cold compared to some time earlier. Good to see some of my friends again, but I hate the circumstances, freezing my ass of, and I feel like a prisoner kept inside the relative warmth of the house. It's funny I laughed pretty hard when Andrick blogged about the wheather in the UK, now I realise how fkn right he is. Living outside rocks!!

I arrived in the Netherlands later then planned last Thursday after missing my connecting flight to Amsterdam. I was surprised by my own calmness when that happened. I didnt really care and went over my options to solve my problem. Pokermindset I guess. There were 2 flights supposed to leave around midnight to Amsterdam. the non-KLM was delayed and they were able to get me in that one if I was prepared to make a run for it. I said to myself "much better then a sleepover in KL, let's roll!" Slept like a baby and arrived at Schiphol around 8am instead of 5.45am I was supposed to land. Oh well I think it's acceptable for a 17hour+ journey :)
Had a solid weekend, most remarkable was Friday when I was about to play a tournament in the domstad classics. Adventure was literally over before it started becus I showed up late, even too late for the late registration. Instead of playing the tournament I railed some pokerbuddies and played a lot of cash, hopping over to the tourney tables everey now and then. Best result for PU was a 13th place in a field of 320 people for 750Euro. I wasnt very lucky with my cards, overall I played decent and my net. result was -40big blinds or -200E. Biggest decision of the night was me considdering to play pocket Jacks for stacks. My image was terribad, and I was ready to get it all in if my opponent decided to 4bet. Sure enough he did 4bet, but he gave me me everey single "livetell" I know saying: "me got the best hand out there" with it. I tanked for a couple of minutes and folded. Found out later it wud be a 50%-50% situation :( . Home around 8 in the morning, Good timezzz, enjoyed it! We are going to Namen (Belgium)for a weekend this month with roughly the same group of people, should be fun!!

Said and heard that an awfull lot of times last couple of weeks. I can only speak for myself when I say: I honestly feel that way at the moment. It's so good to realise it at the very moment you are having a good time. I dont know about you, but I usually find out afterwards that some things were pretty darn good. "Enjoy the moment" and "enjoy life" are hollow sentences to a lot of people. I have to admit it's probably easier to reconise a good life in a country where you see a lot of people struggle to survive evrey single day. Oh well, let's try to really live by it anyway!
I really love it when I realise I can go to every place in the world any time I want. I got the time, money, health and the anti-commitment to whatever. I wrote couple of blogs entries ago my plans down for comming months and I am probably not gonna stick to them. Some things are set but I am really considdering some other good stuff at the moment. I am not gonna write it down today becus I am not sure yet, dont want to bother you with all those stupid things crossing my mind. Keep you posted on that one!
Today was crazy. Why the heck does mankind want to fly 6 o'clock in the morning :O . We dropped James of today. James is one of the 2 guys I bumped into twice within a few hours a couple of weeks ago. Alex and James were really really drunk the second time I met them, and not just drunk, ready to party aswell. They asked me if I wanted to come along and I obv cudnt resist. That night was fun, Alex and James were cool, Alex almost ended up paying 200RM for a hamburger :O . Anyways ended up spending quite some time with them since.

Januari started of really relaxt but starting to pick up some speed again. I am very tired due of some sick fun yesterday and the day before (will post pics later). Wanted to write down that I think KLM is fkn unreal, charging me 120 euro's to change my returnflight. Did it anyway since you dont really got a choice eh? So I ll leave 27th 23.40. and will arrive 28th of Jan. 5.45. local time in Amsterdam. So if there are people out there who wanna hug and cry most welcome ;). It's good to come a couple of days earlier. keeps my options open me to play some live tourneypoker in the "Domstad classics"

Running very poorly in getting a new appartment:
-not a great budget -lady from the Midlands didnt call me (saw it kinda coming to be honest) -estate agent cant help out on that one.
I strongly considder to stick with seaview and just getting another appartment :)

I went to see some appartments with an estate agent. Since my "contract" for the place I got right now expires at the end of this month Ive got to think in advance. iow PLANNING. I started the day of good by oversleeping, I woke up by the agent calling me that he was at my appartment already, (not funny!) then I had no water, and I was like OMG they cut me off for not paying my November bill yet(NOT FUNNY!^2). I found out later that the whole building had trouble with their water, so no probloms for me, phew!xd. Getting dressed didnt take me long and I was ready to go and get things done. Unfortunately the budget I came up with wasnt as reasonable as I honestly thought it was. At least for the conditions I've got. I did see a place wich at first sight fit my preferences but turned out to be a shithole!(I tooke some pics of it with my phone, not sure if i can get them onto my laptop tho.) I am starting to think it's a pretty big mistake to leave Seaview garden lol. Seriously I honestly don't understand how that guy is ever gonna rent that place out to someone in the condition as bad as it is right now. Went to another appartment by myself and got stuck in a security controlroom of a hotel/condo with a muslim girl. And don't tell me they don't flirt! :O. Actually nobody told me that, just my own prejustices. Makes me realise once again that I am still full of them. Anyway hopefully I can have a look at the Midlands next week. The good thing is they rent out pretty small units and the location is pretty much perfect, they promised me to gimme a call. *please do*

Let me write my ideas down for coming months, and finish this blogentry. I pretty much made up my mind:
Get back to Holland 28th of January with my yearticket. Book another retour to Malaysia leaving early March and returning medio June. Then fly from Amsterdam to Getwick and from Getwick to Las Vegas the first of july to return the 1st of August back to the Netherlands. Gives me the opportunity to spent a big part of the vacation with friends and family+some time to figure out if I wanna go study again or continue to live life like I do right now.
Think about it.
Sounds like a solid plan to me. I found a pretty resonable retour ticket Amsterdan>Kl>Amsterdam BUT makes a stop in Cairo. At first I thought that isn't great, but it does give me the opportunity to stick around in Egypt for a while wich is pretty cool imo. I have to check out the option of an "around the world ticket" first before I start booking tho. Furthermore I ll have to leave Malaysia 1 more time between March and June, not sure yet where I want to go, I mean there are a looot of options. Oh well we will see!
